2. Cookies and similar tools
Cookies are small files that a website saves in the browser. Similar tools include, for example, the browser’s local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage), which keep information on the device without being sent automatically to the server. Italian law (Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003) treats them in the same way: technical ones, strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested, do not require consent; profiling or third-party analytics ones do.
3. What this website uses
Cookies: just one, technical and first-party, and only if you choose the language with the “IT | EN” switch:

Unless you make a choice, the website saves no cookies: the Italian or English version is offered based on your browser language and the country you are connecting from, which are read only at the time of the request and not stored. The website sets no third-party cookies and does not load fonts, videos, maps or scripts from other domains.

This data stays in your browser. The token is sent to the CineRelay server only when you use the Account area, to sign you in: it is not used to recognise you on other websites or to measure your visits. The waiting list on the home page saves nothing in the browser and currently sends no data.
4. Why you do not see a banner
Under the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) on 10 June 2021, technical tools do not require consent: this notice is sufficient. Since the website uses only technical tools, there is no banner to accept. If in future we add analytics or third-party tools that require consent, we will ask for it before enabling them, with a banner and the option to refuse.
5. Payments with Stripe
When you buy CineRelay Pro on the website, you are taken to the Stripe Checkout pages and the Stripe customer portal, which are on Stripe’s domain and not on cinerelay.it. There, Stripe uses its own cookies, needed for payment, security and fraud prevention, as an independent controller and in accordance with its cookie policy and its privacy policy.
6. How to delete them
- The
langcookie is updated every time you choose the language and is deleted along with your browser cookies. - “Sign out” in the Account area deletes the token and account data from the browser.
- Deleting your account also deletes the last email used.
- You can always delete everything from your browser settings, under the option that clears site data (cookies and website data). If you do, you will need to sign in again.
- If you block browser storage the website still works, but you stay signed in only until you change or reload the page.
7. The CineRelay app
The iPhone and Android apps use no cookies or tracking tools. What they save on the phone is explained in the privacy policy.
