1. Licence
CineRelay is licensed, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). On Android, the Google Play Terms of Service apply. These conditions supplement them: for the app downloaded from the App Store, where there is a conflict, Apple’s EULA prevails, without prejudice to the rights the law grants you as a consumer.
Provider of the app and seller of the subscription on the website: Hart Studio Srl, Viale degli Astri 59, 00144 Rome (RM), Italy, VAT no. IT13918461008, email info@hartstudio.it.
2. What is included
Without a subscription you can explore the app, browse and play the files already imported into the library, and check that your camera is detected. CineRelay Pro unlocks live view and controls for compatible cameras (REC and shutter release; see the list in Compatibility), importing from the camera and from the Files app (for example from an SD card reader), and automatic uploads to your Google Drive, your Dropbox or your FTP server.
3. CineRelay Pro subscription
You can subscribe in three ways: in the app through the App Store, in the app through Google Play, or on this website by card through Stripe. The price and the trial are the same; what changes is who handles payment, cancellation and refunds. An active subscription applies on every device where you sign in with the same account.
3.1 In-app purchase through the App Store
- Plans: monthly at €5.99 or yearly at €39.99. These are the prices for Italy, VAT included. In other countries the price is the one the App Store shows before you buy.
- Free trial: new subscribers get 7 days free. You can use the trial only once per Apple ID, even if you change plan. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing.
- Charges: payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. If you start the trial, the charge is made at the end of the trial.
- Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it expires. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the expiry date.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or from the App Store. Pro access remains active until the end of the period already paid. You cannot cancel from within the app or by writing to us: the subscription is managed by Apple.
- Changing plan: switching between monthly and yearly takes effect at the next renewal.
- Price changes: if the price changes, Apple notifies you in advance and, where required by law, asks for your consent before the renewal.
- Refunds: these are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, according to its conditions and the rights granted to EU consumers.
- Restoring: on a new iPhone, or after reinstalling the app, use “Restore purchases” with the same Apple ID.
3.2 In-app purchase through Google Play
- Same plans and prices for Italy, VAT included, with a 7-day trial for new subscribers, once per Google account. Payment, automatic renewal and refunds are handled by Google according to the Google Play policies.
- Cancellation: at any time in the Play Store › profile icon › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Pro remains active until the end of the period already paid.
3.3 Purchase on the website through Stripe
- Account: to buy on the website, sign in with your email (you receive a 6-digit code). Use the same email in the app: Pro is activated there without a new purchase.
- Plans and prices: monthly at €5.99 or yearly at €39.99, VAT included. The final price, including any VAT applicable in your country, is the one shown by Stripe Checkout before you confirm.
- Free trial: 7 days, only once per person, across all channels: if you have already used the trial in the app or on the website, the subscription starts as paid. During the trial you pay nothing; we ask for your card so that the subscription can continue at the end of the trial.
- Charges and renewal: the first charge is made at the end of the trial (or immediately, if you are not eligible for the trial). The subscription then renews automatically for the same period at the same price, charged to the same card, until you cancel it.
- Cancellation: at any time, from Account › Manage subscription, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancelling stops future renewals: Pro remains active until the end of the period already paid. If you cancel during the trial, you pay nothing. You can also ask us by email to cancel.
- Changing plan and card: from the same portal. Switching between monthly and yearly is applied and calculated by Stripe as shown before you confirm.
- Price changes: we notify you by email at least 30 days before the renewal to which they apply; you can cancel before they take effect.
- Right of withdrawal (EU consumers): you have 14 days from subscribing to withdraw without giving any reason (Articles 52 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code). Since CineRelay Pro is digital content and a digital service supplied immediately, at the time of purchase we ask for your express consent to begin supply before that period ends and for your acknowledgement that, once supply of a paid period has begun, you lose the right of withdrawal for that period (Article 59(1)(a) and (o)). In Stripe Checkout you cannot complete the purchase without ticking the box that accepts these Terms and requests immediate start of the service, acknowledging that from the start of the paid period you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal. During the free trial you can always cancel at no cost.
- Refunds: except in the cases provided for by law, we do not refund periods that have already begun. If something goes wrong, write to us: we consider every request.
- Failed payments: if a renewal fails, Stripe retries for a few days; if payment is not received, the subscription ends and Pro is deactivated.
- Receipts: Stripe sends them to you by email and you can find them in the customer portal. Seller: Hart Studio Srl. Stripe acts solely as payment service provider.
- Account deletion: if you delete your account, the subscription purchased on the website is cancelled immediately, without a refund for the current period except as provided for by law. App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled in the store: see Delete account.
4. Account
Your account is used to recognise your subscription on all your devices. You are responsible for it: keep access to your email secure, because the sign-in code is sent there. You can delete your account at any time, from the app or from the Account page. We may suspend an account used abusively, for example to get around the free trial, notifying you in advance where possible.
5. Compatibility and operation
- On iPhone you need a model with a USB-C port and iOS 18 or later; the Android version requires Android 8.0 or later and USB host (OTG) support. iPhones with Lightning and use on iPad are not supported.
- Compatible cameras, with the verification status of each model, and supported phones are listed on the compatibility page: only models marked as verified have been tested in the field; the Android phones listed as recommended are chosen on the basis of their specifications and not all of them have been tested.
- The available controls depend on what the camera reports. Some settings can only be changed from the camera’s menus.
- During USB import the app must stay open. In the background, uploads continue only for a short time and resume when you reopen the app.
- Implicit FTPS is experimental. Unencrypted FTP transmits passwords and files in plain text.
6. Your files and third-party services
Your photos and videos remain yours. The app never deletes the originals on the camera’s card. Google Drive, Dropbox and the FTP server are services provided by third parties or by you, with their own terms, storage limits and costs. Hart Studio does not control their availability. Before formatting the card, check that the files have reached their destination, and always keep a backup copy of important work.
7. Liability
We work to make CineRelay reliable on set, but we cannot guarantee that it will work without interruption with every camera, firmware, cable or network. To the extent permitted by law, Hart Studio is not liable for loss of files or for indirect damage arising from use of the app. This is without prejudice to cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence and to the mandatory consumer rights provided for by the Italian Consumer Code.
8. Trademarks
Google Drive is a trademark of Google LLC. Dropbox is a trademark of Dropbox, Inc. iPhone and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Android and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. Stripe is a trademark of Stripe, Inc. CineRelay is an independent product of Hart Studio, not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies. The names are used solely to indicate compatibility.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, the courts of the place where you reside have jurisdiction, and you keep the protections provided by the law of your country of residence in the EU.
